Acropolis

Acropolis

The Acropolis a place that you all must see when traveling in Greece.  It is opened from 8:00am to 6:00 pm on summers.  Because the weather is very hot in the summer and the Acropolis will be crowded with people after the mornings, I think that the best time to go there is at about 7:00 am, early in the morning. It takes about one hour to get there and see where to buy the tickets, so 7:00 am would really be to right time to get out ( unless you live very far from the Acropolis~). My mom and I took the metro there, and it was pretty convenient  and fast. (the buses are kind of difficult to read). To get to the Acropolis, you have to get off at a red line stop called" Akropoli". The station is very close to the Acropolis, so you will be able to see the acropolis right after getting off the stop. There were a lot of visitors that were going to the Acropolis, so everyone just kept walking up and eventually saw a lot of people buying tickets. And that's the place to buy tickets. If you really can't find the place to but tickets, you can just ask someone to help you. The price of the ticket is 6 euros for people under 18 and 12 euros for the rest of the people. I am 17, and when I was buying my ticket, they didn't let me get half price because I didn't bring my passport(what?!). In the end, I had to pay 12 euros, when I could have only paid 6. So it wise to bring your passport if you're under 18 I guess! When I went to the New Acropolis Museum to buy tickets, I said I was under 18 and they didn't even ask for my passport and just gave me an half price ticket! When I got up the Acropolis, I could see the whole Athens, the Propylaia, the Parthenon, Erechtheion and the Theatre of Dionysos. A lot of walking though! IT WAS SPECTACULAR AND UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Advice
1. Bring a stable hat, or else your hat will be blown away by the strong wind
2. Put on sunscreen, the sun is intense.
